Welcome...Apply!

We are currently accepting applications for Celebration of Quality 2008: An Interdisciplinary Academic Symposium. The application is quick and easy to complete. Look right--see link.
_____________________________________________________________

The Celebration is an on-campus symposium during which students like yourself can share—beyond the classroom--the great work they’ve done.

Poster displays are welcome. Art work is welcome. Academic papers are welcome. Creative writing is welcome. Plays are welcome. (OK, you get the point, right?)

All students are encouraged to submit an application to share their best work. And don't worry, this isn't limited to perfect work. If your teacher saw the work as successful, you can count it so.
Here’s what you need to do to participate:
* Fill out the attached application form and have a faculty member sign it as your sponsor. (Faculty are quite happy to do this, and it doesn’t have to be the teacher for whom you completed your work.)

* Before Tuesday, March 4, submit your application via email or hardcopy to Robin Gallaher, RCG@nwmissouri.edu, Colden 2865.

Here’s WHY you should participate:

* You will get an opportunity to hear people ooh, aah, clap, smile, and generally respond positively to your work.

* You can list your participation on your resume. This type of involvement looks great to potential employers.

* You will impress your family and friends.

* You will be even prouder of your work than you are now, truly believing all your hard work did pay off.

and,

* You will get a free dinner!

The event allows you to present your work in the way you think is best: read, perform, or display it.

This years Celebration is Tuesday, March 18, 3-8pm in the Student Union, 3rd floor. If you choose to participate, you will receive a program in advance of the event with your specific presentation time and location. Class on Tuesday? Contact your instructor to have your absence excused for a university event.

We look forward to seeing you and your work!
